What is Theory Test Ready?
Theory Test Ready is a mobile app that helps you prepare for the UK driving theory test. It includes over 1,000 practice questions, full mock tests, and hazard perception training to help you pass first time.
Who is this app for?
The app is designed for anyone preparing for the UK driving theory test, including learner drivers, parents helping learners prepare, and anyone who wants comprehensive preparation before booking their test.
Is this the official DVSA test?
No. Theory Test Ready is an independent preparation app to help you study. The official theory test is taken at a DVSA-approved test centre. We are not affiliated with DVSA or any government body.
Using the App
Can I use the app offline?
Yes. All practice questions and lessons work without an internet connection. Hazard perception video clips can be downloaded within the app for offline use.
How many questions are included?
The app includes over 1,000 practice questions covering all 15 Highway Code sections. Questions are presented in the same format as the official test.
How do mock tests work?
Mock tests simulate the real theory test experience. You'll answer 50 multiple-choice questions in 57 minutes. The pass mark is 43 out of 50 (86%), just like the real test.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. All your progress, including quiz results and readiness scores, is saved locally on your device. This means if you delete the app, your progress will be lost.
How do I know when I'm ready to take the real test?
The app tracks your readiness score based on your performance across all topics. When you're consistently passing mock tests and scoring well across all sections, you'll see your readiness score increase. We recommend booking your test when you're scoring above the pass mark consistently.
Purchases and Payments
How much does the app cost?
Theory Test Ready costs £12.99 as a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions, no monthly fees, and no hidden costs. Pay once and you own it.
How do I get a refund?
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store, so refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, go to your App Store purchase history or contact Apple Support directly.
Can I restore my purchase on a new device?
Yes. If you've already purchased the app, you can restore your purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID. Go to Settings within the app and tap "Restore Purchases".
Technical Support
The app isn't working properly. What should I do?
First, try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, check that you're running the latest version by visiting the App Store. If you're still having issues, please contact us with details about the problem.
How do I reset my progress?
You can reset your progress in the Settings section of the app. This will clear all your quiz results and scores, allowing you to start fresh.
