Please read these terms of use carefully before using the Theory Test Ready mobile application.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Theory Test Ready, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Theory Test Ready is an educational mobile application designed to help users prepare for the UK driving theory test. The app provides:
- Practice questions based on Highway Code topics
- Full mock theory tests in the official format (50 questions, 57 minutes)
- Hazard perception video training
- Progress tracking and readiness scoring
- Structured learning across 15 Highway Code sections
3. Important Disclaimers
Not a guarantee of passing: While our app is designed to help you prepare for the theory test, using the app does not guarantee that you will pass the official DVSA theory test. Your success depends on your own preparation and performance on test day.
Not affiliated with DVSA: Theory Test Ready is an independent educational app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) or any UK government body.
Educational purposes only: The content in this app is provided for educational purposes to help you prepare for the theory test. It should be used alongside official learning materials such as The Official Highway Code.
Content accuracy: While we strive to keep our content accurate and up-to-date with the current test format, we cannot guarantee that all questions will match those on the official test. Road rules and test formats may change.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our app, you agree to:
- Use the app only for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Not copy, distribute, reproduce, or share the app content with others
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
- Not use the app in any way that could damage or impair its functionality
- Not use automated systems or bots to interact with the app
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the app, including but not limited to text, questions, graphics, images, videos, and software, is owned by Theory Test Ready or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Highway Code content referenced in the app is Crown copyright and is reproduced under the Open Government Licence for educational purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
6. Purchases and Payments
Theory Test Ready offers in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.
Pricing: The current price is £12.99 for lifetime access. Prices may change without notice, but changes will not affect existing purchases.
Payment processing: All payments are processed by Apple according to their terms and conditions. We do not have access to your payment card details.
Subscription management: If you have purchased access, your purchase is managed through your Apple ID. You can view your purchase in your App Store account settings.
7. Refunds
All purchases are made through the Apple App Store. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
To request a refund:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Select the purchase and request a refund
We cannot process refunds directly as all payments go through Apple.
8. Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services to function. By using the app, you also agree to the terms of these services:
- Apple App Store: For app distribution and purchases
- Firebase: For content delivery and crash reporting
- PostHog: For anonymised analytics (can be disabled in Settings)
- Superwall: For subscription and purchase management
9. Availability and Updates
We aim to keep the app available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates.
We may update the app from time to time to:
- Add new features or content
- Fix bugs and improve performance
- Update questions to reflect current test format
- Address security issues
We recommend keeping automatic updates enabled to ensure you have the latest version.
10. Data and Progress
Your learning progress is stored locally on your device. This means:
- Deleting the app will permanently delete your progress
- Progress does not sync between devices
- You can reset your progress at any time in Settings
We are not responsible for any loss of progress data.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app
- We are not responsible for any loss arising from your failure to pass the official theory test
- We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on the app's content
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Theory Test Ready, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app or violation of these terms.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms of use at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated terms in the app or on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when these terms were last revised.
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Theory Test Ready regarding your use of the app.
